LIDCOMBE, AUSTRALIA, August 28, 2014 Melinda Younan, MS, was recently named a VIP member of Worldwide Branding. This special distinction honors individuals who have shown exceptional commitment to achieving personal and professional success.
In creating customized rehabilitation programs for hearing-impaired adults and children, Ms. Younan draws on her extensive background, which includes research and development and aural rehabilitation for children with cochlear implants. With previous experience in workforce structure and governance, clinical services, and process improvement, she advises on service development proposals and helps meet financial objectives.
Raised in a highly educated family, Ms. Younan is very goal-oriented and driven to succeed despite previous obstacles. By following her passion with courage and the encouragement of her family, including her sister who was also studying in the medical field, she has been able to excel in a profession that allows her to make a difference in the lives of so many. Her accomplishments include publishing the first book in Iran about auditory training in children after cochlear implant operations and composing audiometry manuals for students training to join the industry.
Ms. Younan received a master's degree in science and audiology, a bachelor's degree in audiology, a graduate certificate in international health, and a diploma in theology. A member of the Audiological Society of Australia, the International Audiology Association and the Educational Audiology Association, she also serves as a bilingual interpreter and advocate for asylum seekers.
