Ms. Melinda Younan has provided her expertise in the field of audiology for nearly two decades and is recognized for her work in helping patients with various audio problems. She specializes in aural rehabilitation for children with cochlear implants and planning the rehabilitation of hearing impaired adults. She is an expert in tinnitus management and spends a lot of her time researching and ensuring her patients receive top of the line services.
On a daily basis, Ms. Younan oversees the clinical services, infrastructure and support at Collective Care. She makes recommendations for service development and works toward enhancing department and organization. Additionally, Ms. Younan supervises and trains new audiologists. Ms. Younan was determined to become a medical professional while growing up in a difficult community. Her sister helped encourage her to continue learning. Her most memorable experience thus far in her career was a patient suffering from tinnitus for 20 years and was suffering under severe mental illness due to the condition. The patient was unsure that Ms. Younan would be able to help him, but after a few months his condition began to improve and in 18 months his treatment concluded successfully. Ms. Younan believes that being an audiologist is full of rewards if you enjoy helping others. |
