Ms. Younan was determined to become a medical professional while growing up in a difficult community. Her sister helped encourage her to continue learning. Her most memorable experience thus far in her career was a patient suffering from tinnitus for 20 years and was suffering under severe mental illness due to the condition. The patient was unsure that Ms. Younan would be able to help him, but after a few months his condition began to improve and in 18 months his treatment concluded successfully. Ms. Younan believes that being an audiologist is full of rewards if you enjoy helping others.
